None of It Was Random

Sometimes people ask me how I do it all. How I built Modality. Why my events feel so warm, so thoughtful, so layered. The truth? I’ve lived many lives, in many cities, in different countries. I’ve worked in luxury, served in struggle, watched the powerful up close—and none of it was random.

You’ll taste Belize in my food.

You’ll feel elegance in my tea parties.

You’ll feel peace in my jewelry.

You’ll hear rhythm in my voice.

You’ll see it all in Modality.

This is what happens when God uses your whole story.

Back then, I worked in some of the finest steakhouses in America. I served the wealthy—CEOs, athletes, judges, influencers. Many of them came in alone. Table for one. A drink, a steak, and silence.

I became friends with a lot of them. Not because I was trying—but because I was the only person who talked to them like a real human. No agenda. Just presence.

At first, I thought: They must’ve done something wrong. Why don’t they have friends?

But the more I got to know them, I realized—many of them were filled with light and purpose. They were generous, creative, open. Some of them just didn’t know how to connect anymore. Some were used to people wanting something from them. I didn’t want anything. So they let me in.

They invited me and my husband on trips. Spoiled us with fancy dinners and beautiful views. They didn’t treat me like “just the waitress”—they treated me like the friend they didn’t know they needed.

And I’ll never forget that.

“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” – Hebrews 13:2

Some of the most powerful people I met were also the loneliest. Some saw me as a servant. Some saw me as a leader. I didn’t care either way—my identity is in Jesus.

“The world looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7

Now that I’ve built Modality—now that it has four walls and a deeper calling—I’ve seen some people turn away. Some go quiet. Some start watching from a distance. And that’s okay. I’m not here for applause. I’m here to build something real.

Shanti Peace Jewelry is releasing new designs.

Our Belizean fire-cooked meals are in the works—just wait.

Private parties, catered tea events, wellness meets culture—we’re just getting started.

“By their fruit, you will recognize them.” – Matthew 7:16

I don’t have to brag. I just keep walking in alignment.

I don’t have to prove anything. The work speaks for itself.

I’m not here to impress—I’m here to love.

Because that’s what Jesus told us to do.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14

And now, I finally understand why so many of the rich sat alone.

It wasn’t because they did anything wrong.

It’s because many people don’t know how to hold space for them.

It takes humility to look past someone’s status or success—and love them as a person.

And that kind of humility? Jesus modeled it.

Whether someone is wealthy, just lost 50 pounds, started a business, or achieved something great—sometimes people back away, not because of the success itself, but because they don’t know how to stand beside it in love.

Real love celebrates. Real love stays.

And I’ll keep choosing that kind of love, every single time.
